Goodbye Japan, I'll visit again!

It's been a fun and exciting trip to Japan. I learned much about how pharmacy works, understood more of the culture, broadened my horizon with the knowledge, lifelong friendship, and amazing experiences from visiting many locations. I have already mentioned a few pharmacy topics of what I have learned during my stay, it was wonderful to have the opportunity to visit multiple pharmacies under the guidance of our sensei and to even have a chance to taste and try some of it out. The chance to study abroad isn't commonly found and when the opportunity arose, I was glad I took it before graduating. This experience helped me expand my understanding of how different healthcare is managed in other countries and how different people handle medicine and treat diseases.I personally thought this was a great blend of learning about the world and appreciating it, not only about pharmacy but about other people and the world they live in. In the short time I was there, I visited so many locations, all guided by friendly faculty, penpals, and friends who have already visited Japan - I am grateful for everything as this was my first trip overseas. I researched and thought I was prepared for this trip, but many things still surprise me. The kindness that many Japanese people have given us , the hot and humid weather, amazing and efficient transportation, and how credit cards are not commonly used. Most importantly, I felt like I have made lifelong connections and have learned a great amount on the trip. Someday in the future I would like to come back, I tell my girlfriend that I plan to bring her to Japan so I can share all the great experiences I had. The next time I come back, I will be more prepared, prepared for the weather for sure, going to places I have yet to visit, and of course to say hi to the friends I have made. Thank you for a great trip and amazing memories everyone, it was my first and won't be my last.
